I know this journey intimately. It’s what inspired me to create the POWER Tribe.
Throughout my career, I’ve experienced the profound impact of having women who look like me and share my lived experiences in my corner. For me, it was Linda Murrain and Kathy Woods—two remarkable women who mentored, advocated for, and sponsored me. Because of their belief in me, I was prepared for opportunities at a faster rate than many of my peers.
That kind of support can make all the difference.
As a leader, I’ve also had the privilege of creating spaces for women of color to grow. I’ve witnessed their leadership effectiveness unfold in powerful ways when they’re given room to be vulnerable, to be challenged, and to learn. These sacred spaces are transformative, and they can only truly be created by us, for us.
That’s what the POWER Tribe is all about—a dedicated space where women of color leaders can connect, grow, and thrive together.
