Collaboration Over Competition: The Birth of Equity Impact Partners

There’s a special kind of power that comes from walking your talk. For the last few years inside the POWER Tribe, we’ve been nurturing a culture built on the idea that leadership doesn’t have to be lonely, and progress doesn’t have to be competitive. When we choose collaboration over competition, we create space for shared vision, shared power, and shared wins.
Equity Impact Partners is one of those wins.
This joint venture between me and fellow POWER Tribe leader Radia Baxter is a direct reflection of the kind of leadership we cultivate in this community—bold, principled, collaborative, and deeply rooted in purpose.
Who We Are: Equity Impact Partners
Equity Impact Partners helps organizations move beyond performative engagement and into meaningful connection. We build trust, strengthen local business ecosystems, and align large-scale projects with the people they affect most.
We specialize in stakeholder strategy and supplier inclusion, with a focus on businesses and communities that are too often overlooked. We are co-architects. We work with our clients to design the vision, structure and execution of key initiatives. We work across real estate, community and economic development, public sector, and social impact—bringing strategy, sustainability, and innovation to every table we sit at.
At the heart of our work is a simple belief: Progress should be shared. And we’re here to make sure it is.
Although we’ve come together for this powerful joint venture, both Radia and I continue to lead our respective companies. Radia is the CEO of Louie B’s, a firm specializing in government relations, stakeholder engagement, and community strategy. I continue to lead PFW Coaching and Consulting, where my work centers on executive development, integrative leadership across sectors, corporate social responsibility, and driving growth and profitability.
One Year In: Purpose in Action
Over the past year, we’ve been deep in the work—building trusted relationships, shaping strategy, and ensuring community voices are not only heard but reflected in decision-making.
Our first major client has been The Integral Group, a national leader in mission-driven, community-centered, transformational community development. Together, we’ve been working on the Morrison Station project, the redevelopment of the historic Cooper River Courts/Meeting St Manor apartments on Charleston’s peninsula.
This isn’t just a construction project. It’s a community legacy moment.
We’ve spent the year engaging with residents, city leaders, and regional stakeholders, asking hard questions, listening with intention, and helping to design a future that is inclusive, equitable, and rooted in the fabric of Charleston.

As Egbert Perry, Integral’s Chairman and Founder, said during his visit to the Charleston Metro Chamber’s 2025 Opportunity Summit:
“The challenge cities face today isn’t whether they’ll grow — it’s whether they’ll grow in ways that strengthen their communities or stretch them to a breaking point.”
That’s the kind of consequential leadership we stand behind. And we’re proud to bring that same level of care, clarity, and community wisdom to every client we serve.
(📸 We’ll include a few photos of our team in action—because this kind of work deserves to be seen.)
New Era.
We just launched our brand-new website at www.equityimpactpartners.com. It’s the digital front door to who we are and what we do—and in the coming weeks, we’ll begin sharing more of our journey across social media as well.
But I wanted you, supporters and members of the POWER Tribe to be the first to know.
This is more than a business.
It’s a manifestation of values.
This is leadership in motion the kind we talk about and model:
✔ Effective in strategy
✔ Consequential in impact
✔ Rooted in how we move, decide, and steward our influence
What’s Next?
We’re ready to serve.
If your organization—or one you know—is launching a development, rethinking your community engagement strategy, or seeking ways to work more effectively with diverse suppliers and stakeholders, we’re here.
Let’s build something that lasts. Let’s create change that’s inclusive by design, not just by intention.
To My Co-Founder (and POWER Tribe Sister), Radia
As Dr. Seuss once said, “Oh, the places we’ll go.”
This is only the beginning and I couldn’t imagine doing this work with anyone else.
Your brilliance, integrity, and shared vision make this partnership so powerful. Let’s keep building.
In POWER and LOVE,
Kenya
